Norma Coombs has several solid and dedicated academic resources in the Pasadena Unified School District to serve and support its diverse student body. Norma Coombs Elementary, founded in 1972, is entering its 52nd year. Its approach to learning is unique among Pasadena schools in that it expects every student to actively participate in the learning process through in-depth problem-solving. A highly skilled ceramics instructor offers an exceptional class with a comprehensive learning experience for students interested in creating stunning and unique pottery pieces. The class covers a wide range of techniques essential for mastering the art of pottery-making and ensuring that each piece is unique and beautiful.

Norma Coombs is fortunate to have an RTI (Response to Intervention) coach and a team of diligent staff who prioritize the overall well-being of every student. They are always available to provide guidance and support to ensure that each student's needs are met and they are empowered to succeed in their academic journey.
