When you join the Norma Coombs Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA), you become part of the largest and oldest network of child advocacy groups in the United States. Funding and other challenges to education in California make the support provided to schools by parents and community members more critical today than ever before. At Norma Coombs, the PTSA plays a critical role in many of our school programs – from funding the Ceramics Program, to staffing a variety of fundraisers and school events, to assisting teachers in the day-to-day education of our children.

Your PTSA involvement can happen in many ways, from attending meetings and giving your input, to helping at school events, participating in PTSA fundraisers, and volunteering in your child’s classroom, the library, or the playground. The children and school benefit, but so will you as you get to know the diverse and dedicated community that is Norma Coombs.

The membership fee for the Norma Coombs PTSA is $9 per member. Members may vote on all PTSA matters. A number of other benefits are available to PTSA members, including reduced admission to places such as the Aquarium of the Pacific.

We can provide you with a form at the PTSA table before school or at our first meeting on Friday, August 16, 2019.
